A big congratulations to Megan Hartwick, this year’s New York Job Project winner!

Megan’s journey to become the winner began after she secured a spot as one of the contest’s top six entries with the most votes. From there, Megan was selected as one of three finalists who came to New York City after dazzling our judges during the semi-final interviews. Megan’s professionalism and positive attitude proved to us she’ll be a great fit with our team here at Affect.

Affect would like to thank everyone who entered, voted for their favorite entries and supported The New York Job Project. In addition, a huge thank you to our judges for their work in helping select our winner!

Megan will start her job with Affect soon, and we can’t wait to have her on board!

So you want to be Affect’s newest employee? Here’s what it takes:

• To enter, fill out the entry form and upload a photo or video. Remember, your photo or video should be appropriate for a job interview!
• The content must be in English and entrants must be 18 or older, a legal U.S. resident and have earned a Bachelor’s Degree by July 2013.
• Start spreading the news: rally all of your friends to vote for your entry! Everyone can vote only once – so make sure you get the word out via all of your social media channels. In 2012, more than 16,000 votes were cast for 110 contestants!
• The top 6 entrants with the most votes will advance to the semi-finals.
• The judges will also be given 200 votes each to give to their favorite contestants, so make sure you catch their eye!
• After a series of remote video interviews with the semi-finalists, 3 finalists will be selected by the judges to come to New York for in-person interviews.
• One lucky winner will get the job of a lifetime: A paid, full-time PR job with a starting salary of $36,000 per year, the potential of nearly $48,000 in total compensation and benefits per year and a $1,500 moving stipend to kick off a new career in NYC!
